Bail set for Doran murder case

Doran, Minn. (WDAY TV) - A judge sets bail for a man accused of murdering a Doran, Minnesota woman 8 months ago.

44-year old Jeffrey Silvernail, of Wahpeton made his first court appearance this afternoon. The judge set his unconditional bond at $1.5 million dollars and conditional bond at $1 million.

Authorities arrested Silvernail yesterday for the murder of his ex-girlfriend, 49-year old Lori Roberts. Police say he shot her twice at her home because she broke up with him. Silvernail faces up to 40 years in prison.
