Robbery suspect recovering after shooting
GREENWOOD, Minn. (AP) — A suspect who was shot during a convenience store robbery is recovering.
Police say two masked men entered the Lakeshore Market in Excelsior Thursday night. The clerk behind the counter pulled a gun on them.
While the man who wasn't shot was able to escape, WCCO-TV reports that 19-year-old Omario Tavari Henry wasn't so lucky. He was found hiding in some bushes behind the market, arrested and was taken to Hennepin County Medical Center where he underwent surgery.
The station reports he's recovering from gunshot wounds to his leg and torso. It says he was charged with first-degree attempted aggravated robbery on Friday.
Police are still trying to track down the other suspect.
