Sen. Franken: Obama's choice for Supreme Court impressive
(WDAY TV) - A Minnesota senator is calling President Obama's choice for Supreme Court Justice, Elena Kagan, impressive.By: WDAY Staff Reports, WDAY
The 50-year-old lawyer and first woman dean of Harvard Law School has no prior judicial experience. But Senator Al Franken says that's something that will help Kagan. Justice Scalia says it's to her benefit because she's not part of the "judicial monastery."
"And he said that we don't have a diverse enough court right now because everybody on the court has been a judge."
Kagan's confirmation hearings are set for June 28.
