Crash injures three van passengers in Hawley

HAWLEY – Three people were hurt when a vehicle pulled out in front of a van Thursday night on Highway 10 in Hawley, the Minnesota State Patrol said.

HAWLEY – Three people were hurt when a vehicle pulled out in front of a van Thursday night on Highway 10 in Hawley, the Minnesota State Patrol said.

Three passengers in the 2008 Dodge Caravan were taken to MeritCare Hospital in Fargo with injuries not believed to be life-threatening. They are 59-year-old Roberta Lord, 33-year-old Amber Lord and a 5-year-old boy whose name wasn’t given. Their addresses were listed as unknown. The van was driven by Leland W. Lord, 61, of Cass Lake.

The driver of the 1993 GMC Jimmy, 22-year-old Kolbi Smith of Hawley, and his female passenger were not injured, according to a patrol news release.

The crash happened just after 8 p.m. at Highway 10 and Fifth Street.
