Women help to build Habitat Homes in Moorhead
Moorhead, Minn. (WDAY TV) - Women around the county grabbed nails and hammers this week, including a group in Moorhead.By: WDAY Staff Reports, WDAY
Habitat for Humanity teamed with Lowes for the annual Women’s Build week.
Of the 36-homes Lake Agassiz Habitat for Humanity have built, three have been women built homes. The week encourages women to get out and help the organization. This crew built a shed for a family living in a habitat home.
“Its mostly to encourage women to come out and learn a new trade and learn how to fix things at their own homes and kind of be a little more out going and comfortable and confident towards building.”
Lowes contributed more than one million dollars for Women's build week.
