BENSON, Minn. (AP) — Another car crash has killed teenagers on Minnesota roads.
Swift County authorities say two boys died and a third was seriously injured after their car apparently struck the side of a semi-truck about three miles southeast of Benson, in western Minnesota, on Wednesday.
The sheriff's office says 16-year-old Cody DeVaan of rural DeGraff and 15-year-old Benjamin Mast of Benson were thrown from the car and were pronounced dead at a hospital. The 17-year-old driver was airlifted to North Memorial Medical Center in Robbinsdale and was in fair condition Thursday.
The 33-year-old man driving the semi was treated for minor injuries.
The West Central Tribune of Willmar reports Benson High School counselors and local ministers were helping students Thursday.
The accident is being investigated.
Seven teens died in separate crashes across Minnesota during one weekend last month.
