Perham man finishes journey across Minnesota by scooter
Perham, Minn. (WDAY TV) - A follow-up story tonight. A Perham man has finished his journey from Moorhead to Minneapolis by scooter.By: WDAY Staff Reports, WDAY
It took Mark Schmidt six days to get there, pushing himself by foot, every mile. He's part of the Perham Lions Club, and did this to benefit a 15-year old girl named Taylor, who has burns over 80 percent of her body from a bonfire accident.
Schmidt's working with Make-A-Wish, and worked to raise 6-thousand dollars to send Taylor and her family on a trip to France. Schmidt says he lost 20-pounds.
