Wilkin County Sheriff Tom Matejka identified the man as 76-year-old Patrick Benedict of Sabin.

Authorities say the car's driver was headed northbound on County Road-3 when it collided head on with a grain truck headed south bound. The man in the grain truck was not injured.

Authorities say the car just drifted into the other lane at the last second, and there was nothing the truck driver could do.

His body has been sent for an autopsy.
