Oak Grove students compete in memory of Rube Goldberg

(WDAY TV) - Oak Grove students put their brain power to work, making homemade complex machines for a physics competition tonight.

The competition is in memory of the 1900's cartoonist Rube Goldberg. Goldberg was famous for making comics about complex machines that did simple tasks.

To go with that theme, kids built machines that use funnels, slides and hammers that work together and can crush an aluminum pop can, then put it in a recycling bin. Students were judged by the audience and the winners were given medals.
