FARGO, N.D. (AP) — Some college football players in North Dakota are getting a shot at the NFL.

North Dakota State University running back Pat Paschall signed a free-agent deal with the New England Patriots, and Bison offensive lineman Keith Buckman signed as a free agent with the New York Jets following the NFL draft.

Paschall finished No. 1 in rushing in NCAA Division I FCS last season, averaging nearly 140 yards per game. Buckman helped open holes for him.

The University of Mary, a Division II school in Bismarck, says defensive end E.J. Reid has been invited to the St. Louis Rams rookie minicamp.
