Five miles of Fargo and Moorhead roads will be closed for the "Streets Alive" event.

It's meant to encourage people to live healthier lives by being physically active. People can bike, walk, run, or walk their pet.

Along the route, there will be food, entertainment and other activities.

"The whole goal really is to have people get fit. We want this to catch on. We want people t realize healthy eating and active living is the way things need to be."

To check out the route go to Fargoparks.com. Events will be held Sunday August 29th and Sunday September 19th
