Fargo police arrest two after overnight robberies
Fargo, ND (WDAY TV) - Two separate armed robberies, one pair arrested. Some people on the streets of Fargo were threatened by robbers with a knife. Now, two Fargo residents are in the Cass County Jail after being arrested hours after those incidents.By: WDAY Staff Reports, WDAY
27-year-old Victor Garcia faces felony charges of robbery, terrorizing, aggravated assault, and possession of stolen property. 22-year -old Samantha Rebold faces felony robbery and aggravated assault charges.
The first robbery happened in the 34 hundred block of 31st Avenue South around 1:30. Police say Garcia approached a man, put a knife to his stomach and stole his wallet and cell phone. The suspect fled on foot with a female.
A short time later, another man was in a car with a female, when the suspect got into the back seat and held a knife to his throat. The victims got away on foot. Police say Rebold knew that victim.
SGT. NELSON: "We don't have a lot of assaults that have a knife involved or any weapon involved because we're very fortunate about that."
Police executed a search warrant at 2701 32nd Avenue South, Apartment 109 where they recovered stolen belongings and arrested the pair.
