The parking commission is thinking about putting in a bus that would only run downtown.
Two buses would run every 15 minutes, taking people in a loop through downtown. Downtown planners say the service would change the dynamic of the area, making traffic flow easier, because fewer cars would be on the road.
“It's a way to save time; it's a way to some money. Every time you start your own vehicle up, it costs gas money. It costs money to cruise around the block that extra time, looking for a parking place.”
There's no word yet on when the service would start. Stein says the bus trips would probably be free of charge.
