GRAND FORKS, N.D. (AP) - A man serving time for burglarizing Walsh County farmsteads and stealing an ATM from a Minto convenience store has now pleaded guilty to charges stemming from a string of thefts in Grand Forks in 2006 and 2007.

Forty-one-year-old Gregory Nordrum will serve 2½ years in prison and 2½ years on supervised probation if a judge approves a plea agreement Nordrum reached with prosecutors.

Prosecutor Jason McCarthy says two theft charges were dropped as part of the deal. Police say Nordrum told investigators last August that he took

vehicles and electronics from Grand Forks businesses, and also

tried to steal ATMs.

Nordrum is serving a two-year sentence on the Walsh County convictions. He is to be sentenced May 4 on the Grand Forks charges.
