Apple lovers finally get their hands on the new I-Pad

(WDAY TV) - Apple users are finally getting their hands on the long awaited and hottest new piece of technology: the I-Pad. With nearly 10 inch screens the new I-Pads are like a souped-up version of the popular I-Pod Touches.

People stood in line for hours hoping to buy one of the first I-Pad Touches. Warren Ackley was there nearly 4 hours before the store opened.

"Gotta keep up to the latest greatest flip, whatever Apple does, we try to follow."

Ackley's talking about him and his 14-year old son, his motivation to get up early and wait in line is so he can return home with a slick new present.

"Hopefully I don't have to wake up my son, but if I do I’ll have to wake him up and tell him I got a surprise for him."

The store had around 90 I-Pads in stock. Ackley picked up the 64 gigabyte version and added on a wireless keypad, dock station, a case and a VGA adapter to plug it into a TV.

"Everything they pointed to I got. I thought as long as I’m waiting here this long; I’m going to get everything."

Sales reps say that the I-Pad has everything a common computer user needs surf the web, download music, send an email or even play your favorite games. With more than 150 thousand Applications, Ackley and his son might not get to the yard work today. Best Buy has four I-pads on display.
