BISMARCK, N.D. (AP) — A Fargo woman is accused of using a trust account to get $236,000 in loans that she used to pay lawyers' fees and restitution for a felony theft conviction.

BISMARCK, N.D. (AP) — A Fargo woman is accused of using a trust account to get $236,000 in loans that she used to pay lawyers' fees and restitution for a felony theft conviction.

Lisa Barry made her first appearance in South Central District Court in Bismarck this week. She is charged with misusing property from a trust account set up to benefit her friend Darnell Hager.

Hager's husband says Barry used the property as collateral to get more than $236,000 in loans more than two years ago. The money was supposed to pay for property improvements but the work was never done.

Court documents say Barry used $60,000 to pay restitution for her Cass County felony theft conviction and another $9,000 for legal fees. The rest allegedly went to pay Barry's personal expenses.
