High school track meets

(WDAY Sports) - For the 2nd day in a row, track and field took center stage at the Bison Sports Arena with the State-B indoor meet.

In the boy’s 800, Valley City's Wayne Engelhard wins it in a time of two minutes. It is a second off the meet record.

But in the four by eight, the Valley City team of Burchill, Fogerty, and Will and Engelhard as the anchor did set a meet record in winning with a time of 8 minutes, 53 seconds.

Across the river in Moorhead was the MAA indoor was held at Concordia.

The girl’s 400 meters was won easily, although she'd probably beg to differ, by Moorhead freshman Jae Borgen.

The margin of victory in the boys 400 was even more convincing. Moorhead senior Nathan Haak won it going away.
