School board to vote on whether or not to close school
Borup, Minn. (WDAY TV) - Balancing the budget in the Ada-Borup school district may mean closing a school.By: WDAY Staff Reports, WDAY
The district is 150-thousand dollars in the red this year and projects it could be facing a 300-thousand dollar deficit next year.
To save money, the school board is expected to vote on April 13th to close the Borup school building and move its 70 5th and 6th graders to the Ada school.
The superintendent says it’s that, or laying off teachers and cutting programs which they don't want to do.
