The school board unanimously approved putting the measure on the May 25th ballot.
A majority is needed to pass. The 20.9 million dollar project includes a new school and improvements to the elementary. If approved the district will get at least ten million dollars in federal stimulus for the project.
“We've had feedback from people year after year and some of the people have always addressed cost. Some have thought that we needed to provide some way of trying to get financial assistance. This is definitely that step.”
Two public meetings are planned for April 26th and May 6th at 7 p.m. both nights. A place hasn't been named.
