Just another flood fight for Drayton
Drayton, ND (WDAY TV) - The flood is taking a toll on some communities, but in Drayton, it’s just another small fight.By: WDAY Staff Reports, WDAY
The only inconveniences: The town's one bridge is closed to the east bank and a dike is running through the middle of Main Street.
Right now, there are no problems with floodwaters. The Red River in Drayton is at 42.19 feet today. It's expected to stay that high until Wednesday.
"We haven’t filled one sand bag. The city crews have come so accustomed to dealing with these floods it is just like clock work. They know what to do and take care of it and it really comes off with out a hitch."
A new bridge should be built by fall. It will make be more accessible during a flood.
