Lake Park, Minn. (WDAY TV) - Voters in the Lake Park-Audubon School District *could* be heading to the polls on May 25th to vote for a nearly $21-million dollar school referendum.
If the vote passes, the district will get at least $10-million dollars in federal stimulus money to help build a new school for grades 7-12 and make improvements to the elementary school.
The school board is planning a special meeting on Wednesday to approve putting the measure on the ballot. If the board decides not to pursue it, or the building bond referendum fails, the stimulus funds will go elsewhere.
