ND broadband project getting stimulus money

BISMARCK, N.D. (AP) — A North Dakota telecommunications company is getting federal stimulus money for a project to bring broadband services to the Streeter and Gackle areas.

BISMARCK, N.D. (AP) — A North Dakota telecommunications company is getting federal stimulus money for a project to bring broadband services to the Streeter and Gackle areas.

The federal Agriculture Department says Dakota Central Telecom is getting about $2.3 million for the project, which also has a $2.5 million private investment.

The project is one of 12 broadband infrastructure projects in eight states getting a total of $150 million in stimulus money. The projects also have a total private investment of $68.2 million.
