Lt. Gov. Jack Dalrymple says China presents great opportunities because of its rapidly expanding middle class and sustained economic growth.

The U.S. Commercial Service says North Dakota's exports to China reached about $19 million last year, up 50 percent from 2005.

The delegation includes Dalrymple, Agriculture Commissioner Doug Goehring, Commerce Commissioner Shane Goettle (GET'-uhl), members of the North Dakota Trade Office, and representatives of North Dakota companies, organizations and universities. The group left Sunday.
