Senator Amy Klobuchar saw a much different picture than during last year's crest. She toured the area near Horn Park where many homes are vacant, scheduled to be moved or demolished. Klobuchar praised the decision to move forward with a North Dakota diversion.
"We know that it is much less water than last time, but when you look and fly over and when anyone sees pictures of those farmhouses surrounded by water, this isn't a small thing. Even though it looks like a victory today, it's a victory because of all the hard work."
Clay County is pretty quiet. The Red's crest should reach Georgetown in about two days.
