Results in for "Denny's Bucks for Bags"
Fargo, ND (WDAY TV) - The hours have been tallied, and the results are in. Fargo Public schools is the overwhelming winner of the "Denny's Bucks for Bags" campaign.By: WDAY Staff Reports, WDAY
In the two and a half week push, students donated 2-thousand and 48-hours to sandbagging. That means they earned 1,636 dollars.
Mayor Walaker says he's so appreciative of the help students donated; he says it re-affirms his faith in area youth.
31 organizations received money in the Bucks for Bags campaign. In all, it cost the city 77-hundred dollars, much less than leaders expected. They say that goes to show how many volunteers helped, just to lend a hand.
