Yale leads Berthold over Fargo Oak Grove in 2 OT
MINOT, N.D. (AP) — Matt Yale had a triple-double Thursday in leading Berthold to a 91-82 double-overtime win over Fargo Oak Grove in the first round of the North Dakota boys Class B basketball tournament.
Yale had 10 of his 30 points in overtime as the Bombers (25-1) handed Oak Grove (24-1) its first loss of the season. He also had 10 rebounds and 11 assists.
Lyndon Bloms added 14 points and Tyler Birdsall 12 for the Bombers.
Shayden Akason had layups late in regulation and the first overtime to extend the game. Akason had 27 points. Samuel Olson added 14 for the Grovers.
