FARGO, N.D. (AP) — North Dakota State University has hired a new vice president for finance and administration.

Interim NDSU President Richard Hanson appointed Bruce Bollinger, director of the agriculture budget office, to fill the vice president role for one year.

Bollinger has been with NDSU since 1987 and became director of the agriculture budget office in 1998. He will take over for Broc Lietz, who was named interim vice president of finance in early March when John Adams resigned. Lietz will return to his position as associate vice president for finance and administration.

NDSU has been mired in controversy in the past year over the way it spends money.
