NEW ULM, Minn. (AP) - The Cottonwood River has run over Cottonwood Street on the south side of New Ulm, and the river is still rising.

The National Weather Service reported the river was at 14.5 feet on Thursday morning, about 3½ feet above flood stage. It's expected to crest at just over 15 feet on Friday.

The Minnesota River was also at moderate flood stage in New Ulm

on Thursday, and was predicted to slightly rise then hold steady

for several days.

While the Journal of New Ulm reports no structure damage in

town, the Brown County sheriff's department reports that several

township roads along the Little Cottonwood River in the county are

closed due to flooding.
