Nuggets take unbeaten record to state
(WDAY Sports) - The girls state tournament cranks up tomorrow in Minneapolis. One of the favorites in AA is the Hawley Nuggets, who come in 3rd ranked and still unbeaten at 28-0.By: Dom Izzo, WDAY
They survived the section and now they know a bigger goal is in front of them.
“We try to stay humble and not think about that. We just want to go in there and have fun because this is our first time. Nobody on our team has made it to the state tournament. This will be pretty exciting for us.”
“You go down, you play every game, you prepare, execute and the team's down there are all beautiful teams. Wonderful teams, so there's really not a favorite down there. You just got to go play basketball.”
