Moorhead council members agree on building a series of levees
Moorhead, Minn. (WDAY TV) - The Corps of Engineers is building a series of clay contingency levees along the river in Moorhead.By: WDAY Staff Reports, WDAY
City Council members agreed to the plan in a special meeting this afternoon. They say this will work better than one huge contingency dike, like they used last spring.
The levees will protect to 41 feet, but if the river level looks like it might go down, all of the levees might not have to be built.
