Extent of Verety cuts in North Dakota revealed

BISMARCK, N.D. (AP) - The jobs of 230 mostly part-time workers across North Dakota will end when a company that processed remote drive-through restaurant orders goes out of business in the state.

BISMARCK, N.D. (AP) - The jobs of 230 mostly part-time workers across North Dakota will end when a company that processed remote drive-through restaurant orders goes out of business in the state.

Verety spokesman Ken Cordes says the final day of business will be May 12. He cites the poor economy.

The company's parent, Ygomi (why-GOH'-mee), announced the cuts earlier this month but didn't say how many. Ygomi, which also operates SEI call centers in Fargo and Grand Forks, said there would be an increase in employment in those two cities.

Cordes says SEI plans to increase staff by about 100 full-time positions over the next few months and that former Verety workers may apply for work at SEI sites.
