JAMESTOWN, N.D. (AP) — The North Dakota Highway Patrol has identified two Michigan men killed in a crash along a frosty stretch of Interstate 94 in southeast North Dakota.
The Highway Patrol says 59-year-old Harold Mattmiller Jr. from Mendon, Mich., and 55-year-old William McGehee from Kalamazoo, Mich., were pronounced dead at a Jamestown hospital following the 7:15 a.m. Tuesday crash.
The patrol says the two were in a pickup truck that slid into a water-filled ditch and rolled about a mile east of Jamestown. The patrol says the pickup was towing a camper.
A patrol report says Mattmiller was wearing a seat belt at the time of the crash, but investigators could not determine whether McGehee was wearing a seat belt.
