New faces at spring training
(WDAY Sports) - Plenty of attention has surrounded Joe Mauer this spring and with good reason as he remains unsigned, but there are a few new faces at spring training.By: Dom Izzo, WDAY
That Minnesota hopes will convince Mauer to stay beyond 2010.
Including Jim Thome and Orlando Hudson, two former all stars the Twins signed this off-season. Both have valuable postseason experience that the young Twins crave.
“It's a little different feel coming into camp this year. We got some great guys, great additions, Jim Thome is a hall of fame type guy, and Orlando Hudson is going to help us tremendously offensively and defensively, and JJ Hardy who can put up some great numbers and play a good shortstop. Seems like they're gong to be great teammates, so I’m looking forward to it.
