First ever flood meeting held in Casselton
Casselton, ND (WDAY TV) - A first in Casselton tonight. The city tonight held its own flood meeting to talk with people in and out of town about how the city prepares for a flood, and what steps are taken to get assistance.By: WDAY Staff Reports, WDAY
The biggest concern in Casselton is overland flooding. There is diking around town, but a lot of roads still get washed out.
“And there's getting to be more and more, and I’m hearing more from the townships where our water comes from that they've lost some roads already, which isn't a good thing because it comes faster to our area yet.”
The city may have more informational meetings, but so far, none is scheduled.
