BISMARCK, N.D. (AP) — Fargo South advanced to the championship game of the North Dakota girls Class A basketball tournament with a 74-49 victory over Grand Forks Red River on Friday.
BISMARCK, N.D. (AP) — Fargo South advanced to the championship game of the North Dakota girls Class A basketball tournament with a 74-49 victory over Grand Forks Red River on Friday.
Megan Roehrich led the way for the East Region champions, scoring 21 points, grabbing five rebounds and dishing five assists. Alley Fisher added 18 points and Raquel Wellentin had 16 points and a team-high seven rebounds for the Bruins (21-3).
Red River (21-3) was led by Emily Asche with nine points.
South shot 52 percent from the field. Red River shot 33 percent.
The Bruins led 36-23 at the half.
