ND National Guard kicks off workshop
(WDAY TV) - It's a huge weekend for the North Dakota National Guard. Everything from big time speakers to yearly awards handed out.By: WDAY Staff Reports, WDAY
The event kicked off today at the Holiday Inn. It's an annual workshop that runs through the weekend.
This year Leaders from Kosovo, Iraq and Afghanistan will give the attendees and update via Skype. The meeting is made up of two groups, the National Guard Association of the U.S. and the Enlisted Association of the National Guard of the U.S.
“They're the organizations that fight on behalf of the National Guard members for different benefits and equipment and things of that nature.”
Tomorrow, Governor Hoeven will speak to the group. On Saturday the Air and Army "Officer of the Year" will be named.
