City of Lisbon continues to prepare for possible flooding
Lisbon, ND (WDAY TV) - Lisbon needs more sandbagging help. The city's mayor says they've filled three-thousand sandbags and are preparing to have dikes as high as last year.By: WDAY Staff Reports, WDAY
He says they hope the dikes will be mostly made up of clay. They've already put in storm sewer gates and four gauge valves to prevent the sewer system from blowing and overflowing like last year.
"Hopefully it doesn't come. We've had a good melt, but if we don't have to, we've got to be prepared."
The city needs volunteers to help sandbag this Saturday at Lisbon's Tire Warehouse from 10 am to 5 p.m.
