Restraining order stops special election in Fergus Falls
Fergus Falls, Minn. (WDAY TV) - There will be no special election in Fergus Falls this late April.By: WDAY Staff Reports, WDAY
A Judge has issued a temporary restraining order stopping an election regarding a proposed spending ordinance.
A group called, Grow Fergus Falls, went to court and challenged the referendum. This, after another group got enough signatures to put the spending ordinance on the ballot.
It would call for public votes on city spending initiatives. A move opponents say would violate state law.
