2nd straight NAIA tournament trip for the Jimmies
(WDAY Sports) - The Jamestown women have an earlier tip off than that tomorrow; they're at the NAIA tourney in Sioux City prepping for an 8:30 am game against Indiana University Southeast.By: Dom Izzo, WDAY
This is the 2nd straight trip for the Jimmies, who lost in the first round last year, but head coach Mark Wiest says his crew, which has racked up 25 wins this year, can make a run.
“We'd love to win 2-3 games at the national tournament. Fortunately I think we've got the right team to do it. The experience that we got, we won 20 games last year, that all really paid off and really motivated the girls in the off-season to work hard in the weight room and now they're seeing the benefits of their hard work.”
The Jamestown men also play tomorrow in the NAIA tourney; they face Oklahoma Wesleyan, the defending champs.
