Sen. Conrad: Corps has enough resources for flood fight
(WDAY TV) - North Dakota Senator Kent Conrad met with leaders from the Army Corps in Washington, to talk about spring flooding.By: WDAY Staff Reports, WDAY
Conrad questioned if the Corps has the resources they need to effectively respond to the threat of floods in communities across North Dakota.
“Col. Christensen told me that they are ahead of where they were last year and he assured me they have all the resources they need for this flood fight and to be successful."
Senator Conrad also asked the Corps to evaluate options for protecting Minnewaukan, A community facing several challenges as Devils Lake is expected to rise another 2 to 3 feet this year.
