GRAND FORKS, N.D. (AP) - The University of North Dakota has reached a long-term deal to train Norwegian air traffic controllers.
Officials say it could bring as many as 180 trainees to campus over the next five years.
Chuck Pineo, executive director of the UND Aerospace Foundation, says the contract is with Avinor, a state-owned company that runs Norway's airports.
UND has trained Norwegian air traffic controllers in the past.
