More money back

A new tax law created by the Obama administration is plumping up some peoples tax returns this year.

The "make work pay credit" can give individuals a 400 dollar refundable tax credit and 800 dollars for married taxpayers.

People who file by themselves need to make between 64 hundred to 90 thousand dollars to qualify. For married couples it's between 13 thousand and 150 thousand dollars. People with Taxman in Fargo say it's one of the many tax benefits added this year.

“The President changed the tax rates, unfortunately you had a little less withheld this year, but supposedly had more in your pocket all year and this is his way to off-set that.”

Some of the people affected are ones with multiple jobs, dependents, pensioners and workers without a valid social security number.
