Dream vacation given to 5th grader battling a life threatening disease
(WDAY TV) - A local 5th grader battling a life threatening disease will spend the next week on a dream vacation. Thanks in part to her classmates.By: WDAY Staff Reports, WDAY
Make-A-Wish is giving Moira Flaherty her wish, a weeklong trip to Hawaii with her family. Moira's battling a type of Leukemia.
Moira's friends say she's the inspiration. At a recent school carnival they raised money at a lemonade stand and today handed a check over to Make-A-Wish for more than 700 dollars.
She's the second person in under a year from Clara Barton-Hawthorne to receive a wish from the foundation.
