Some ND soldiers in Kosovo to return in May

BISMARCK, N.D. (AP) — The North Dakota National Guard says some soldiers serving in Kosovo will be coming home earlier than expected.

About 650 North Dakota soldiers are part of a peacekeeping force in Kosovo. Most of them have been there since October. The Guard says about 160 soldiers are expected home in May, rather than July or August.

The Guard says about 550 U.S. soldiers are to return before summer, as a result of improved security in Kosovo.
