Name of man charged with shooting is released

Mahnomen, Minn. (WDAY TV) - New information tonight on a shooting in Mahnomen over the weekend. The Sheriff's Department has released the name of a man arrested.

    Prosecutors today charged 23-year old David Bower with first-degree attempted murder, second-degree attempted murder, felon in possession of a firearm, and controlled substance possession.

Prosecutors today charged 23-year old David Bower with first-degree attempted murder, second-degree attempted murder, felon in possession of a firearm, and controlled substance possession.

Deputies responding to a burglary saw Bower running from the scene and say he shot a 20 year-old woman from Naytahwaush who was "down the street from the burglary call." She was treated for minor injuries and released.

Bail was set at $50,000 cash or $500,000 bond. His next court appearance is set for Thursday.
