White Earth man arrested after woman shot in Mahnomen

Mahnomen, Minn. (WDAY TV) - A 23-year-old White Earth man is behind bars after authorities say he was involved in the shooting of a woman in downtown Mahnomen.
Sheriff's Department officials say they will not release his name until tomorrow, but they say early Saturday morning they were called to burglary report and saw a man fleeing the area. A 20-year-old woman from Naytahwaush was shot, but was later treated and released from the hospital.
The man is in custody, facing attempted homicide, assault, felony possession of a controlled substance and firearm related charges.
