Fergus Falls man charged in fatal shooting
FERGUS FALLS, Minn. (AP) - A 24-year-old homeless man has been charged with manslaughter in a fatal shooting in Fergus Falls.
FERGUS FALLS, Minn. (AP) - A 24-year-old homeless man has been charged with manslaughter in a fatal shooting in Fergus Falls.
According to the complaint filed Wednesday, Devin Gray was at a gathering of friends Feb. 26 when he held a gun to his head. It says 29-year-old Amanda Kemmer took the gun away. It says he told police her persuaded her to return it, and that the gun went off when she handed it back to him.
The bullet went through Kemmer's hand and into her chest. She died at the scene. The Daily Journal of Fergus Falls reports Judge Mark Hansen set
bail at $200,000 after prosecutor Michelle Eldien said Gray has no
home, no job, no dependents, no ties to the community and a history
of depression.
A public defender will be appointed later. Gray's next court date is March 15.
