Contest to name the world's largest buffalo
Jamestown, ND (WDAY TV) - In Garrison, there's Wally the Walleye. In New Salem, there's Salem Sue. But for the past 50 plus years, the World's Largest Buffalo in Jamestown has been known as only that.By: WDAY Staff Reports, WDAY
Thanks to a new contest, that's about to change.
It's part of a campaign to promote tourism in the Buffalo City. Along with naming the "World's Largest Buffalo", you can win one thousand dollars for your creativity.
Nina Sneider/Buffalo City Tourism Foundation: "I hope the cash prize indicates we're pretty serious about it. We'd like to know why you submitted your name. We want it to be fun, but we want it to be dignified, long-lasting."
