Packers get primed for a big run

West Fargo, ND (WDAY Sports) - It's hard to say that when you're ranked 5th in the state you're a work in progress, but that's where the West Fargo boys basketball team sits.

The Packers have won three of their last four, but lost their last three home games, all to the metro teams.

They're practicing at Concordia today in preps for the EDC tourney in Grand Forks and feel they're primed for a big run.

“We're excited about the way we've played. Sure we've had some bumps along the way, and we can play better basketball, continue to improve throughout the season, but we've got to come out and play better basketball.

“We gotta come out and be ready to play every game we didn't when we got beat at home those times and we gotta take care of the ball more.”

West Fargo takes on Grand Forks Central Thursday night at 6 at the Alerus Center.
