Fergus Falls ice arena will not get state money
Fergus Falls, Minn. (WDAY TV) - A new ice arena in Fergus Falls will not get state money, as of now, as lawmakers try to reach a deal on building projects.By: WDAY Staff Reports, WDAY
A legislative conference committee dropped the arena from its bonding proposal. The state Senate had included half a million dollars in the bill for the arena.
Lawmakers and Governor Tim Pawlenty are trying to negotiate, because Pawlenty's plan costs 275 million dollars less. They hope to have an agreement Monday or Tuesday.
